Russia - In Yakutia, 100 million rubles will be allocated to solve the dog issue

Russia (bbabo.net), - In 2022, the authorities of Yakutia will additionally allocate 100 million rubles to the municipalities to solve the problem with stray animals. The head of the region, Aisen Nikolaev, spoke about this live on the Yakutia 24 TV channel.

Assistance from the state budget of the republic will be received by municipalities where the "dog question" is especially acute. 30 million rubles are earmarked for the construction of animal shelters in districts and city districts, another 70 million for trapping dogs.

Since December 29, 2022, a high alert regime has been in effect in the capital of Yakutia, which was introduced after an attack by stray dogs on a city dweller. The city continues to intensify the trapping of animals.

To date, more than a thousand dogs are kept in the city overexposure point. Their release into the habitat has been temporarily suspended.
