The United States did not rule out the admission of Russian inspectors to NATO military bases

Washington invited Russia to discuss the possibility of inspecting NATO bases in Romania and Poland for cruise missiles. It is noted that this will become possible in the case of similar steps from Moscow. Bloomberg writes about it.

We are talking about multi-purpose cruise missiles "Tomahawk". The United States is ready to make sure that these missiles are not deployed at NATO bases in Romania and Poland.

According to the American side, in response to such a proposal, Russia should provide similar information about certain military bases on its territory.

Earlier, Romanian radio reported that the United States and Romania offered Russia to conduct mutual inspections for the deployment of ballistic missiles.

NATO discussed the idea of allowing Russia to inspect facilities with missile defense systems in Poland and Romania. Warsaw said it was ready for Russian inspections at US air defense facilities in Romania and Poland if Moscow allowed inspections of "missile activity" in Kaliningrad.

Earlier it was reported that the United States was concerned that after the change in the Belarusian constitution, Russian nuclear forces could appear on the territory of the republic. Such an opportunity can formally be provided by an exception from the basic law of the clause on striving for neutrality and a nuclear-free zone. Moreover, Minsk has already noted its readiness to return nuclear weapons to the republic. Experts assess the chances of such a scenario differently, excluding a serious reaction from the West in the event of the appearance of Russian nuclear missiles in Belarus.
