Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Oleksandr Borodai, in an interview with the Govorit Moskva radio station, appreciated the decision of the Rada to create a commission to establish the reasons for Ukraine's "loss" of Crimea.

He called the creation of such a commission a continuation of the "clownery" organized by Ukrainian politicians, who only "show off" in an attempt to "justify their existence."

“The clownery continues, Ukrainian politicians pretend to be some kind of power, they put on a show, the show is boring and very monotonous, because they have already established, arrested, issued arrest warrants. Why all this is not clear, what practical consequences of this are none, but they pretend that they are intensively busy with something, ”the deputy said.

Earlier it became known that the Rada would create an investigative commission on the events that led to the loss of the Crimean peninsula in 2014. The main tasks of this commission will be to verify information about the facts and persons who contributed to the "temporary occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea", as well as to check the progress of the investigation against persons who contributed to the "temporary occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea".

Prior to this, the ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko spoke about the "historical reasons" for the loss of Crimea by Kiev.

In March 2014, a referendum was held in Crimea, as a result of which the peninsula became a territorial part of Russia, and Sevastopol became a city of federal significance.
