Former Cuban intelligence agent: Americans can't tell truth from lies

Former Cuban intelligence officer Percy Alvarado, who worked in the United States until 1998, spoke about the weaknesses of the American people in an interview with the Ukraina.ru portal. According to the Cuban, most Americans are not able to independently determine the veracity of an event presented in the media.

"I believe that the Americans are a great people who have an Achilles' heel - they allow themselves to be manipulated by the mainstream media and governments that resort to lies. Unfortunately, the bulk of the American population is not able to understand where the truth is," Alvarado said.

Answering a question about his attitude to the situation in Ukraine, the Cuban noted that Washington uses the "satanization" of Russia, carried out with the help of the media, to strengthen its position among traditional allies, with whom the Americans had disagreements on various issues. "This dangerous spectacle demonstrates that the United States is capable of resorting to any, the most unfounded arguments, in order to strengthen its role as a superpower, which has recently been shaken due to the increase in the influence of China and Russia on international life," Alvarado stressed.

Percy Francisco Alvarado Godoy was born in 1949 in Guatemala. Since 1977, he worked as a secret agent of the Cuban state security agencies. While on the territory of the United States, he was able to infiltrate various emigrant Cuban organizations that were preparing subversive and terrorist acts in Cuba. Awarded with state awards of the Republic of Cuba.
