Ukrainian ambassador announced the possibility of abandoning plans to join NATO

Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystaiko said in an interview with BBC 5 radio that Ukraine could refuse to join NATO in order to avoid a war with Russia.

“We could, especially when we were threatened, blackmailed and pushed to do so,” Prystaiko answered the question of whether Ukraine could refuse to join NATO for the sake of peace in Europe.

He added that Ukraine can "show flexibility."

The West has repeatedly accused Russia of the impending "invasion" of the territory of Ukraine. As an argument, Western politicians use the fact that the Russian Federation has allegedly increased its presence in the border zones with Ukraine - up to 125,000 soldiers.

Moscow denies all accusations and emphasizes that any movement of troops across the country's territory is a sovereign matter. NATO and the alliance's allies think otherwise and are preparing a package of sanctions in the event of an invasion.

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada announced the start of a “war” against Ukraine by its Western “allies”.

Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Opposition Platform - For Life party Vadim Rabinovich believes that the actions of the West against Kiev are similar to war and powerful sanctions.

In addition, several NATO countries have already announced the evacuation of their military instructors and special forces soldiers from Ukraine because of the threat to their lives and safety.

The “info-parade” of evacuations of embassies and citizens of foreign states from Ukraine also continues.
