Russia (bbabo.net), - The eighth Pelmenfest took place in Izhevsk. The main topic was the Udmurt gatherings "Pukon Korka". But few wanted to sit still. Thirty thousand people ran, jumped, danced, and ate dumplings in between. Or vice versa!
It took ten tons of everyone's favorite dish to treat the guests. Not a record, but an impressive figure. Dumplings were cooked and fried by catering representatives from different regions of the republic. Everyone arranged a tasting and assured - our very best!
- I really liked dumplings with sauerkraut and mushrooms. I have not eaten anything like this yet, I bought three kilograms with me, I hope I will bring it, - Natalia Koshereva from the Komi Republic shared her impressions. She came to her relatives in Izhevsk, especially for the dumpling festival.
"It's a pity you can't send dumplings by mail," the guests complained. But it was possible to convey dumpling greetings on branded festival postcards. The holiday had its own post office. 300 greetings "left" the festival post office and not only to Russian addresses. "Here, recently they signed a card to Japan, and this one - to Kaliningrad," the postmen said.
Pelmeni lovers from other regions turned out to be enough at the festival. Sochi, Krasnodar, Tyumen, St. Petersburg. Nothing that "Pelmenfest" has been among the best winter tourist festivals for many years.
"Come to Udmurtia" - pensioners in folk costumes called out the participants of future festivals. It will be tasty and not boring. Only here you can play "Grandma" (Shalyen shudon)" or "Hit the board (Tupen-gopen)". And also catch an elk with a lasso, master the folk musical instrument "Tangyra", and make a monisto that brings happiness.
A special pleasure is to play foreign ball, where instead of clubs there are birch brooms. This folk game turned out to be the most popular - 14 teams of pensioners, factory workers, schoolchildren and kindergarteners appeared at once. One of the athletes was late, waiting for the results, and turned out to be first a participant, and then the winner of the drawing of the annual supply of dumplings weighing 50 kilograms. Whether she will cope with them herself or share with her colleagues, the educator Maria Ivanova has not yet decided. But I'm sure - this will not be enough for a year: it's very tasty!
"World dumpling day" has become a visiting card, a brand of Udmurtia. Festival guests agree with this!
