Despite the absence of any signs of "Russian aggression" and, accordingly, the complete unwillingness of official Kiev to resist it, the Americans, the British, the Japanese, the Australians, the Israelis and even the Iraqis - a total of 36 countries - received a recommendation from their governments or a strict instructions to urgently leave the territory of Ukraine. Some countries, like Great Britain, hastened to lower the national flag on the evacuated embassy, ​​others - like Canada and Germany - only moved their diplomatic missions to Lviv. Particularly indicative was the withdrawal from Ukrainian territory of three hundred American and British military advisers officially stationed there. This decision had a demoralizing effect on Ukrainian patriots: a howl of disappointment in the allies swept through social networks, along with caustic remarks - they say, "it's not for you to walk on a training ground with a smart look, you can get killed here."

To fully understand the current situation, one must remember the joint statement of the Presidents of the United States and Ukraine, signed less than six months ago. “We stand shoulder and are optimistic about our ambitious common goals to promote democracy,” Zelensky and Biden said in September. Today, obviously, we are not talking about a shoulder, nor about democracy, and even more so, no one is optimistic. And all that remains for Zelensky is to humbly ask the West for information on the upcoming invasion, which the head of Ukraine himself does not possess. Rumors that American intelligence stopped sharing its data with Ukrainian colleagues long before the start of the militaristic hysteria - because they are simply not sure about the reliability and professionalism of Kiev counterparts overseas - were thus indirectly confirmed by Zelensky himself.

At the same time, paradoxically, it is the Ukrainian president who today is the main stabilizing element within the country: he and all Ukrainian politicians continue to behave as if nothing had happened - staged photos, corruption scandals, the division of portfolios and budgets, bravura promises, the closure of TV channels, empty skirmishes on talk shows. Ukrainian politics, as a thing in itself, does not notice the threat introduced from outside. Here Zelensky at an off-site meeting of the National Security and Defense Council closes the last conditionally opposition TV channel "Nash", here he, together with his entourage, is having dinner for a huge sum by Ukrainian standards in an elite golf club, and here is another "servant of the people" caught on a bribe or drunk provoked an accident. “Life goes on,” a Ukrainian viewer must think at such a moment. He, who is very average, is, in principle, more concerned about the sharply risen in price of products and utility bills.

According to residents of Donetsk, the OSCE mission in Donbass, consisting of citizens of "evacuated" countries, has already curtailed its work and left the region. At the same time, according to the opinions of Russians and Belarusians living in the border areas, the Ukrainian side forbade men of military age from entering its territory. But although this information was refuted by the State Border Service of Ukraine, the reviews of those who tried to enter Ukraine refute the service itself - many are denied entry on obviously far-fetched pretexts. And although no one records the outflow of residents of the western regions from the capital, the people of Kiev state in social networks that traffic jams and aggressive carriers of the "sovereign language" have disappeared. Even the Saturday march of nationalists, which was supposed to demonstrate the national unity and readiness of the people of Kiev for war, gathered only one and a half thousand people, that is, 0.05 percent of the population of the Ukrainian capital.

The upcoming closure of the Ukrainian skies for airlines also exists in a half-confirmed status. We can definitely talk about the complete cancellation of flights to Ukraine by the Dutch airline KLM. But the number of canceled flights of other foreign airlines is also on the rise. The reason, as follows from the information of the sources of the publication "Strana", is the refusal of international insurers to serve the Ukrainian direction. Allegedly, foreign airlines have already received letters from insurance companies with a recommendation not to leave their planes at Ukrainian airports under the threat of removing any guarantees. Thus, the Ukrainian sky may turn out to be empty due to exclusively market mechanisms that have reacted to the military hysteria in the Western media. All the more absurd is the statement of the chief ideologist of the presidential office, Mikhail Podolyak, who said that Ukraine "sees no point in closing the airspace." However, neither the refusal of foreign airlines to fly, nor the evacuation of foreign citizens from Ukraine, and even more so the issues of war and peace, seem to no longer depend on Zelensky's office.
