Pushkov reacted to the words of the Hungarian prime minister about leaving the EU

Member of the Federation Council of Russia Alexei Pushkov wrote on Telegram that the words of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban about the inadmissibility of pressure from Brussels on EU member states and a possible exit from the organization are quite “demonstrative” political rhetoric.

“Until recently, the leaders of the EU member states did not allow themselves such doubts. And these are not just words, but a reflection of public sentiment in Hungary,” the senator noted.

Earlier, Orban, in his address to the Fidesz-Hungarian Civil Union party he leads, hinted at a possible exit of Hungary from the European Union. According to him, if the European Union takes the wrong decision regarding Hungary and does not take into account local legislation, then it will be impossible to go further on the “common path”.

The EU Court of Justice is due to rule soon on the rule of law of the European Union - lawsuits to recognize national law as more significant than common European law have been filed by Poland and Hungary.
