Forcing the situation around the allegedly planned Russian invasion of Ukraine is a special operation of the American intelligence services. This was stated by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the pro-presidential Ukrainian party "Servant of the People" Yegor Chernov.
"The United States is conducting one of the largest informational special operations in history against Russia. And we must clearly understand this when we hear about an imminent invasion," the parliamentarian wrote on the social network Facebook. According to him, with its help, Washington is trying to solve several problems at once. On the one hand, the United States wants to mobilize the NATO countries and restore their unity (recently some members of the alliance have criticized the line pursued by the United States). On the other hand, to create a negative image of Russia in the world, inflict economic damage on it, inflame anti-war sentiments (and this despite the fact that Moscow has repeatedly stressed that it has no plans of aggression, does not want war). As the goal of this special operation, the deputy called Washington's desire to make it impossible to create a single Eurasian space "from Vladivostok to Lisbon" and the implementation of the "One Belt - One Road" project.
According to Chernov, the United States wants to force Russian President Vladimir Putin to either decide on a large-scale invasion so that the Western sanctions response "quickly buries the Russian economy" or lock himself inside his own country. Losses among the Ukrainian population are not taken into account by either the United States or Ukraine, the Rada deputy did not say a word about civilians, mentioning only the economic losses from the ongoing special operation in the form of an outflow of investors.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the United States had been "mocking common sense and the Ukrainian people for two months, implementing another global provocative campaign." She drew attention to the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who asked everyone who has information about the "invasion" to share it. "Have you ever seen this at all? The United States has been saying every day for two months that Russia is about to attack Ukraine. The President of Ukraine and representatives of the power bloc of this country have been saying for two months that they do not have such information, and now they are also asking those who care to share data," the diplomat said. According to her, apart from a number of Western media, no one has such information. "But, apparently, until the ideological inspirers of the Maidans bring Ukraine to a complete collapse, they will not calm down," Zakharova added.
Moscow has also repeatedly noted that such stuffing is done in order to build up a foreign group near the Russian borders.
