Deputy Representative of Russia to the UN appreciated reports of Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 16

Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's deputy representative to the UN, said there was no reason for Russia to invade Ukraine on February 16. He told Channel 4 about it.

“As far as I know, no, and I see no reason for this,” he said.

Earlier, the Western media announced specific dates for the start of Russia's "full-scale invasion" of Ukraine. The German edition of Spiegel reported that the “Russian attack” would take place on February 16th. In Kiev itself, they did not find the prerequisites for this, said Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked for evidence that an “invasion” on February 16 was inevitable, and then in an address to the nation said that he ordered to call the day on which Ukraine is “frightened by an invasion” the Day of Unity.
