He called on all parties to dialogue, and the Russian government to avoid a "catastrophic mistake for Russia."

“The signs indicate, as you have already heard from President [US Joe] Biden, that this could happen as early as the next 48 hours. This is extremely worrying,” Johnson added.

Earlier, Reuters, citing a government source, reported that the UK government was working on a new package of military and economic assistance for Ukraine in connection with the growing threat of a “Russian invasion”.
