A serviceman of the people's militia of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) died as a result of sniper fire from Ukraine. This was reported by TASS with reference to the representative office of the LPR in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire regime.

"From the direction of the settlement of Orekhovo, Ukrainian troops opened sniper fire in the direction of the settlement of Golubovskoye," representatives of the LPR said. "As a result, a serviceman of the people's militia was killed."

The shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine runs counter to the additional ceasefire control measures in force in Donbas since July 27, 2020. They imply a ban on firing, offensive and reconnaissance and sabotage operations, the use of aircraft and the deployment of heavy weapons in populated areas.
