Russia (bbabo.net), - In Voronezh, two balconies of a house on Pushkinskaya Street, 18 collapsed within 24 hours. The building is located in the center of the city. Luckily, passers-by were not injured, but pieces of concrete damaged the canopy of the store on the ground floor and several cars parked in the yard.

The incident happened on February 8th. The Investigative Committee became interested in history, since there are still enough balconies on the "Stalin" built in 1956 and any of them can pose a threat to people's life and health.

Employees of the State Housing Inspectorate visited the site. The inspection showed that there are through holes on the balcony slabs, the steel bars of the reinforcement are bare and heavily rusted. "Any load on the slabs in this case can lead to a spontaneous fall and destruction of the remaining protruding facade structures," the GZhI concluded.

The management company of the Leninsky district was ordered to ensure safe conditions for residents and pedestrians - up to the dismantling of emergency balconies.

In 2013, one of the balconies of this house had already fallen. In 2021, a few more were sealed - so that people would not dare to go out on them. According to the overhaul program, work on this facade is scheduled for 2023-2025. Perhaps now the process can be accelerated.

The emergency house in Gagarin (Smolensk region) was urgently resettled after the intervention of the prosecutor's office. The building at Sovetskaya Embankment, 2, was built in the middle of the last century and in 2019 was declared to be demolished. It is not known how long one would have to wait if people did not talk about their trouble on the federal TV channel. The prosecutor's office conducted an inspection, opened a criminal case on the negligence of city officials and filed a lawsuit in court. For 25 people, rooms were quickly found in the mobile fund. A similar process ended in Safonovo, where the prosecutor took the side of a woman who lost her only home.
