Zelensky said that the withdrawal of Russian troops from the border of Ukraine is not yet visible

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on Russia's message about the withdrawal of part of its troops from the Ukrainian border, said that this was not yet seen in Kiev. He said this in an interview with the British broadcasting company BBC.

“Honestly, we are reacting to the realities that we have, and we do not see any withdrawal yet. We just heard about it,” the Ukrainian leader said.

According to him, now "all normal people expect de-escalation."

“As for the threat, I have said many times that we are calm about any threats, because we remember that it all did not start yesterday. This has been happening for many years,” Zelensky adds.

According to the president, when Moscow withdraws its troops, everyone will see it, but so far these are just statements.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance is receiving signals from Moscow about its readiness to diplomatically resolve the situation around the Ukrainian problem, but at the same time, tensions in the region cannot be said to decrease, since the number of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border is increasing.

The West has repeatedly accused Russia of the impending "invasion" of the territory of Ukraine. As an argument, Western politicians use the fact that the Russian Federation has allegedly increased its presence in the border zones with Ukraine - up to 125 thousand soldiers.
