The Verkhovna Rada voted for Ukraine's withdrawal from the CIS Antiterrorist Center

The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on Ukraine's withdrawal from decisions on the creation and activities of the Antiterrorist Center with the CIS countries.

The website of the Parliament of Ukraine states that during 2014-2015 the country did not take part in the practical measures provided for by the program of cooperation between the CIS member states in the fight against terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism.

309 parliamentarians voted for the adoption of the law, 5 voted against, 15 abstained, 30 were absent from the voting.

For the document to come into force, it still has to be signed by the President of Ukraine.

The Antiterrorist Center of the CIS countries was established on June 21, 2000. On December 1, 2000, by the decision of the Council of the Heads of States - Members of the CIS, the regulation on the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center, the establishment of the number of employees and financial support for activities was approved.

Last summer, Ukraine withdrew from the Agreement with the CIS on consumer protection.
