Afghanistan deployed troops to the border with Tajikistan

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The authorities of Afghanistan (the Taliban movement banned in the Russian Federation) explained the decision to transfer troops to the border with Tajikistan by protecting the country's territory.

Chief of the General Staff of the Afghan Armed Forces Kari Fasihuddin Fitrat in his tweet noted that we are talking about battalions that have undergone professional training and are equipped with "modern NATO equipment and support helicopters."

According to him, before the military, redeployed to "zero points", the task was set to protect the north-eastern provinces (Badakhshan, Kunduz, Takhar), bordering on Tajikistan.

Fitrat warned that if there was a “slightest threat” from any neighboring state, Kabul would give a “lightning response”.

The planned redeployment of 10,000 Afghan troops was announced on February 14.
