Russia (bbabo.net), - Russia believes that the statements of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg should not be taken seriously, as he will leave his post in the near future. This opinion was expressed by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

"This is not the person whose statements will be considered in Moscow as serious arguments, this is a downed NATO pilot," Zakharova said, quoted by the TASS news agency.

At the same time, the representative of the Foreign Ministry stressed that Moscow does not refuse dialogue with NATO and the United States on security guarantees. "These issues require a detailed, substantive discussion," she explained.

Earlier, Stoltenberg was appointed to the post of head of the Central Bank of Norway.
