LGBT migrants go on hunger strike in Lithuania

Migrants who identify themselves as members of the LGBT community took to the streets of Pabrad, Lithuania, Delfi reports. According to the agency, the demonstrators demanded that the Lithuanian authorities stop psychological pressure on them with a demand to leave Lithuania voluntarily.

According to preliminary data, more than 30 people who live in a separate sector of the city are participating in the action. Since February 14, demonstrators have gone on a hunger strike, defiantly hanging food rations supplied by the Lithuanian authorities on a barbed-wire fence surrounding the Pabrade center.

At the same time, the refugee center has not yet confirmed the information about the protest, stating that some migrants may refuse to eat because they simply do not like the local food. However, in the Lithuanian Gay League, on the contrary, they state the fact of the start of a hunger strike among LGBT refugees.

Earlier it was reported that LGBT activists in Poland are trying to save a transgender cow from slaughter.
