Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - During his speech in the State Duma, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin advocated tightening control in the field of labor migration, citing the experience of Dubai as an example, Interfax reports.
The official paid tribute to the Dubai leadership, which, according to him, has achieved a civilized, organized migration and tightly controls it, thanks to which all negative aspects have been avoided.
Similar measures at the level of the law, according to Khusnullin, should be taken in Russia.
Commenting on the proposal to replace migrants with Russian citizens in construction, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that this would require raising the average salary to the level of the national average, coupled with an increase in labor productivity.
He added that currently the average foreign worker works half as much as a Russian at a third less salary.
