Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba announced the start of a new trilateral format with the participation of Ukraine, Great Britain and Poland, according to the Ukrainian portal Suspilne.media.
Kuleba made the corresponding statement during a joint press conference with his British colleague Liz Truss, during which the parties discussed strengthening the defense capability of Ukraine.
“We are announcing the creation of a trilateral Ukrainian-Polish-British cooperation format,” Kuleba said.
A corresponding joint statement by the foreign ministers will soon be published on the websites of the foreign ministries of these states. The document, according to Kuleba, will reflect that the UK and Poland "will stand shoulder with the Ukrainian people in protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within internationally recognized borders."
He also said that London has handed over modern defense weapons to Ukraine, has shown a willingness to impose tough sanctions, and is also conducting active diplomacy "to contain Russia."
Earlier, Kuleba said that Ukraine managed to restrain Russia from further aggravation of the situation.
As the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova noted, only immoral madmen can talk about Moscow's alleged intention to attack Ukraine.
