In Ukraine, they said that Putin had a pistol with a hook

Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin believes that after the escalation in the Donbas on February 17, the chances of a full-scale “invasion” of Russia have decreased. The politician stated this on the air of the talk show “Right to Power”.

At the same time, Klimkin does not rule out that provocations from Moscow may become more frequent in the future.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Klimkin, will never act predictably. As the ex-head of the ministry emphasized, when the Russian leader plans a "large-scale operation", he will definitely "hide it."

Klimkin considers the appeal of the State Duma regarding the recognition of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR to be another “provocation” of the Kremlin.

“He [Putin] wanted to show that he is the best peacemaker – ‘you see, there is even worse today in Russia, and I seem to be holding my position against this background. And now [French President Emmanuel] Macron asks him, then [German Chancellor Olaf] Scholz - to behave like a human being. And secondly, the Duma gave Putin a gun with a hook, and he can press this hook,” Klimkin said.

Klimkin also admitted that the Minsk agreements would never be fulfilled due to the impossibility of holding elections among people with Russian passports.

Earlier in the LPR, they spoke about plans for defense against Ukraine.

The EU also called for an urgent stop to hostilities in the Donbass.
