The State Migration Service of Ukraine said that there is no hype for issuing passports for traveling abroad, Interfax reports.
“As follows from the schedule, there is no hype for obtaining passports for citizens of Ukraine to travel abroad. The number of documents issued since the beginning of 2022 is even less than in the period before the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic in Ukraine,” the State Border Service said.
It is specified, however, that in the period from January 1 to February 15, 2022, the number of applications amounted to 325 thousand. Compared to the indicators of 2021, the current ones exceed them by 98.8%, but are lower than the indicators of 2020 by 15.5%.
Earlier, Poroshenko's lawyer commented on the situation with the politician's passports.
The West has repeatedly accused Russia of the impending "invasion" of the territory of Ukraine. As an argument, Western politicians use the fact that the Russian Federation allegedly increased its presence in the border zones with Ukraine - up to 125 thousand soldiers.
