Lukashenka spoke about the threat of a pan-European war

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said after a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin that Europe was on the verge of a big war. His words are quoted by the BelTA news agency.

“For the first time in decades, we found ourselves on the verge of a conflict that could drag the entire continent down like a funnel. Today we see in all its glory the irresponsibility and, pardon the bluntness, the stupidity of a number of Western politicians, the behavior of the leaders of neighboring countries that defies logic and reasonable explanation, their downright painful desire to walk along the very edge,” Lukashenka said.

He noted that during the talks, special attention was paid to "an unprecedented escalation of military-political tension in the world." In particular, they discussed joint actions in response to possible Western aggression.

The Belarusian president added that the Russian Federation and Belarus would survive in the hybrid war unleashed against them by Western countries. He is quoted by TASS.

At the beginning of the meeting, Lukashenka joked that he was glad to dilute Western politicians with his visit to Moscow.
