The media called the possible reason for the relocation of the US Embassy from Kiev to Lviv

The US could decide to move its embassy from Kiev to Lviv and destroy documents and servers because of an attempt to cover up the tracks in the case of interference in the 2016 presidential election on the side of Hillary Clinton. It is reported by The Hill.

This version is currently being discussed by political experts.

Andriy Telizhenko, a former employee of the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States, told the Ukrainian edition Strana.ua that, in addition to US President Joe Biden, influential representatives of the Democratic Party, for example, national security adviser to the head of state Jake Sullivan, could be interested in the destruction of classified materials.

According to media reports, it was Sullivan who ordered materials against Donald Trump during the 2016 election campaign, when he worked in the team of another US presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton.

Telizhenko believes that top-level officials may have arranged for coordination with the US embassy's exit to clear their tracks.

According to Fox News, Jake Sullivan is indeed mentioned in an investigation into the 2016 Donald Trump campaign surveillance.

On February 14, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced the temporary transfer of the US embassy from the capital of Ukraine to Lviv. At the same time, The Wall Street Journal, citing American officials, wrote that the staff of the embassy in Kiev, by order of the State Department, must destroy network equipment and computers before moving.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry assessed the transfer of the US Embassy from Kiev to Lviv.
