Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree calling up citizens in the reserve for military training in 2022. The document is published on the official portal of legal information.

“To call in 2022 citizens of the Russian Federation who are in reserve to undergo military training in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, the state security bodies and the bodies of the Federal Security Service,” the decree says.

The President also instructed the Cabinet of Ministers and regional executive authorities to organize the recruitment of reservists and conduct training camps.

The military training of Russians in the reserve of the Armed Forces is a planned event aimed at improving the combat skills of reservists. Such exercises are held annually.

Earlier, planned exercises of the tank army of the Western Military District ended in Crimea.
