“We also need to control the speed of the transition, if there are queues, traffic jams. It is necessary to create prerequisites for the most convenient passage of the border,” Pushilin said.

On February 18, the leadership of the LPR and DPR announced the evacuation, explaining such a measure by the threat of an imminent attack by the Ukrainian military.

The head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, called on citizens to evacuate to Russia. He also appealed "to all men capable of holding arms" with an appeal to stand up for the republic.

Earlier it was reported that more than 80 buses from Donbass arrived in Russia.
