Russia - Refugees in Avilo-Uspenka told RG about the situation in Donbass

Russia (bbabo.net), - Journalists were among the first to meet a caravan with buses of people evacuated from Donbass at the border.

The first person we met with a car near the border turned out to be a citizen of the Russian Federation. According to him, he came to pick up his son, who was visiting his grandmother. Closer to the border, there are a lot of people - mostly women and pensioners, while many carry bags, trunks and suitcases. There are young women with prams and many children, including small ones, who are led by the hand or carried in their arms.

I ask a woman with a child: "What is the situation in Donbass?" A woman is pushing a stroller and replies: "It's an incomprehensible situation." Another woman with a child passes by, I ask again: "What is happening in Donetsk?" He answers: “People are being evacuated en masse. The situation has deteriorated rapidly. We gathered in three seconds when the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin made an appeal. We left, but my grandmother stayed. She doesn’t want to leave.

A five-year-old girl is crying nearby, she does not understand why she has to stand on the street in the middle of the night. The adults comfort her. The woman wrapped the child in a blanket. It's cold. Someone brings hot tea from the cafe.

And there are minibuses in front of the border crossing. The driver invites: "There are still two places, it is possible with children. Only if you know where you need to be taken." "Where can I sit and warm myself" - asks a young woman. The driver replies: "Get in those cars and have a rest."

“Buses are due to arrive now. Then we will be placed in a recreation center,” says another woman, who is worried that the children may miss school.

The pensioner says that while the women's children and the elderly are leaving.

“We are two women, three children and two grandmothers. Friends took us to the border, and now we will go further. We don’t know where yet. Maybe to Moscow, maybe to Sevastopol, maybe we’ll stay in Rostov,” says another.

“They were shooting all the time, but now the shelling is especially strong. Thank God, our area is far from the shelling line and does not reach us, but they fired at the train.

Three more buses left the Avilo-Uspensky checkpoint. In each about 16-20 people. The landing went smoothly. First of all, women with children sat down. The buses departed promptly and went to the recreation centers of the Neklinovsky district. Tired children and women looked out of the windows into the night, who did not yet know what would happen next.
