The Ukrainian armed forces tried to distribute leaflets in the capital of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in order to create panic among the population. This was stated by the Deputy Head of the People's Militia Department of the DPR Eduard Basurin, TASS reports.

“In order to increase panic among the civilian population during the organized evacuation, the enemy made an attempt to distribute leaflets in a number of districts of Donetsk,” he said.

Basurin said that the situation on the line of contact in Donbass is now critical. According to him, the Ukrainian army continues shelling of civilian infrastructure and "terror of the civilian population."

Earlier, the leadership of the DPR and LPR announced the temporary evacuation of residents of the republics, mainly women, children and older people, to the Rostov region due to the threat of a military attack from Ukraine.

Also, the leaders of the republics of Donbass announced a general mobilization.
