Russia - Deputy Vodolatsky: Accommodation of Donbas refugees is planned for at least two weeks

Russia (bbabo.net), - The Russian authorities plan to create conditions for the stay of citizens evacuated from the DPR and LPR for at least two weeks. This was stated by the first deputy head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, deputy from the Rostov region Viktor Vodolatsky.

Recall that on February 18, the heads of the LPR and DPR, Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin, announced the evacuation of residents of the republics to the territory of Russia in connection with the growing threat of hostilities. Refugees are placed in the Rostov region. Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to pay ten thousand rubles to those arriving in the Russian region.

As Vodolatsky explained in a TASS commentary, the possible duration of the aggravation of the situation in eastern Ukraine is unknown, so it is still difficult to predict how long refugees will have to be placed in the regions of the Russian Federation.

"We don't know how long this will last," the deputy said. "People need to create normal conditions for at least two weeks."

And these conditions are not tents, but stationary objects, he specified. "The number of people is huge, you can't keep them in tents, it's not human," the deputy chairman of the committee added.

Earlier, he stated that about 100,000 evacuees from the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR would be at the border with the Rostov region by lunchtime, and after the tent camps, people would be sent to the regions. Evacuated residents of the people's republics will be waiting for buses to move to stationary temporary accommodation centers.
