Zas believes that the situation in the conflict zone is developing in a dangerous direction. Now we should realize the need to sit down at the negotiating table and come to an agreement. "This is the new reality," he said.

The CSTO Secretary General is confident that the intra-Ukrainian conflict can only be resolved through diplomacy. Hypothetically, the introduction of CSTO peacekeepers is possible. But this requires the consent of Ukraine and the mandate of the UN Security Council. In addition, this decision should be supported by the governments of all CSTO member countries.
