Ukraine has received military assistance from Canada, which includes rifles, machine guns with optical sights, and equipment. This was reported on the Facebook profile of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

“On February 19, we received military assistance in the form of sniper rifles, automatic rifles, machine guns with optical aiming aids, pistols, night vision and surveillance devices, and military equipment. I thank our partners and friends for this important and timely decision,” said Oleksiy Reznikov, head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

Reznikov also thanked Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand for her support.

This flight was the second with military assistance from Canada. The first landed on February 4 this year.

Soon more flights with military equipment for Kiev will arrive in Ukraine.

The cargo was delivered within the framework of the Technical Agreement between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Department of National Defense and the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Russian embassy also condemned Canada for its decision to supply weapons to Ukraine.
