French President Emmanuel Macron has a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is reported by BFMTV with reference to the Elysee Palace.

Negotiations began at 11.00 Paris time (13.00 Moscow time).

“A few days after the trip of Emmanuel Macron to Moscow, he again communicates with his Russian counterpart,” the publication says.

As French media reported earlier, the French leader intends to discuss the situation around Ukraine with the Russian president.

Putin and Macron last spoke by phone on February 12. On February 7, the leaders of France and Russia met face-to-face in the Kremlin, their negotiations lasted more than six hours.
