Peskov called Russia the last country in Europe that wants to pronounce the word war

Russia has never attacked anyone first and does not even want to utter the word “war” after all the conflicts it has experienced. This was announced on the TV channel "Russia 1" by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“We remind you that Russia throughout its history has never attacked anyone. And Russia, which has survived so many wars, is the last country in Europe that even wants to even pronounce the word “war,” he said.

In recent months, statements have been made in the West, and in Kiev in particular, that Russia is allegedly preparing an “invasion” of Ukraine. In turn, the Kremlin has more than once directly denied any plans for an attack, and reports from Western media and officials about the preparation of an attack are called unfounded and untrue.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on Russia to withdraw its troops from the border with Ukraine. According to him, this should be an important first step towards a peaceful resolution of the crisis.
