Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said that Kiev will continue to fulfill all its obligations to the residents of the uncontrolled territories of Donbass. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“As for the obligations of Ukraine in relation to all citizens of our country, we have fulfilled all obligations, are fulfilling and will continue to fulfill. If necessary, we will undertake an expansion (support programs),” Danilov said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the Russians, during which he announced the need to recognize the independence of the self-proclaimed republics of Donbass.

Prior to this, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held urgent consultations with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron, and also convened a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) following statements at the Russian Security Council.

On February 21, a meeting of the Security Council was held in Moscow, chaired by Putin. On the agenda was the issue of recognition of the self-proclaimed republics of Donbass. The heads of the unrecognized republics, shortly before that, turned to the President of Russia with a request to recognize the independence of the DNR and LNR.
