Russia and the republics of Donbass (LPR and DPR) will closely cooperate with each other in the defense of sovereignty and security. This is stated in the cooperation agreements, which will be considered by the relevant committees of the State Duma on the morning of February 22.

It is emphasized that the parties will consult each time when, in the opinion of one of the parties, there is a threat of attack on it.

The protection of the borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics will be carried out jointly. A separate cooperation agreement will be concluded on this issue.

The agreements also provide that each of the parties will grant the right to build and use by its armed forces military bases and facilities on its territory. At the same time, the conditions and procedure for exercising such a right "in each specific case will be determined by separate agreements."

Recall that on the evening of February 21, in a televised address to the Russians, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the recognition of the sovereignty of the DPR and LPR. Treaties of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance were signed. The documents have been submitted to the State Duma for ratification.

Earlier it was reported that Syria, South Ossetia and Abkhazia supported the decision to recognize the DPR and LPR by Russia.

As for other countries, their reaction to what was happening was predictable, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. "They didn't want to hear that in Luhansk and Donetsk there are fresh graves of children who died under shelling," says ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
