Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The Muslim communities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics have announced a decision to establish a headquarters to assist local residents.

This step on the part of believers was announced by the head of the Muslim organization of Donetsk, philanthropist and public figure Rashid Bragin during an emergency meeting of members of the plenum of the Spiritual Muslim Board of the Russian Federation.

Bragin noted that the situation in the Donbass is difficult, and “imams have a great responsibility not only for the well-being of the parishioners, but for the entire population.

Imam of the Makeevskaya Mosque Mauletdin Abushakhmanov noted that the situation is most difficult in the settlements bordering the line of contact.

According to the imam, in their sermons the ministers of the mosques try to calm people down, give them spiritual strength and instill in them confidence in the future.

“We constantly pray to Allah to resolve the conflict through dialogue, without bloodshed,” Abushakhmanov stressed.
