China proceeds from the fact that the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine is caused by the lack of effective implementation of the Minsk agreements. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during telephone conversations with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the head of Chinese diplomacy, Beijing will maintain a "consistent position" towards Ukraine, and also intends to "respect the legitimate security concerns of any country and abide by the principles of the UN Charter."

Wang Yi also urged all parties to show restraint and "through dialogue and negotiations, defuse the situation and resolve differences." The Chinese Foreign Ministry stressed that Beijing will continue to maintain contacts with all parties.
