"The main goal is to save lives and ensure the safety of the population of the LPR and DPR, which are constantly subjected to provocations and aggressive actions by the armed forces of Ukraine," he stressed.

Peskov also noted that despite yesterday's decisions, the situation in Donbas is still turbulent, many feel a sense of danger.

Recall that in the decrees of the President of Russia on the recognition of the DPR and LPR, the Ministry of Defense was instructed to ensure the maintenance of peace in the territories of the republics.
