Vladimir Putin added that for a peaceful life and stable, progressive development of Russia, it is necessary to ensure the country's defense capability. He called it the most important state task, because the Armed Forces, the President recalled, serve as a reliable guarantee of national security.

At the same time, the head of state stressed that our country is always open to finding diplomatic solutions to complex problems, but Russia's calls for building a system of equal and indivisible security that would reliably protect all countries remain unanswered.

"Russia's interests and the security of our citizens are unconditional for us," the president summed up.

Vladimir Putin also said that he had no doubts about the courage and reliability of the Russian military and that they would defend the interests of the country, protect the peace and tranquility of its inhabitants.
