Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said that about 36,000 reservists would be drafted into the army. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“As for the reservists, their number today will be 36 thousand people, these are people in the majority who have already passed the front, they understand what is at stake,” he said at a briefing.

At the same time, Danilov did not specify where the reservists would serve, saying that the need for their use would be determined by the military.

Before that, it became known that the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided to introduce a state of emergency throughout the country.

On February 23, Ukraine began conscription of reservists from 18 to 60 years old. The corresponding decision was made by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

It was also reported that the decree on calling up reservists during a special period will only apply to citizens included in the operational reserve.
