In Kiev, prepared to delete data on servers

Deputy Chairman of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (Gosspetssvyaz) Viktor Zhora said that the country's government is ready forced destruction of data on servers. This is reported by Politico.

According to him, the authorities may also transfer classified information from Kiev in order to prevent the interception of materials by Russian troops during the “invasion”.

“We can move to new places, we can save data, delete it and prevent all this data from being captured,” Zhora said.

The Deputy Chairman of the State Service for Special Communications added that if Moscow “takes possession” of Kiev’s government passwords, then specialists will promptly “block” access to the leak.

At the same time, Zhora said that there are “no secret data” on the computers of state employees, all of them are stored in central systems in Kiev.

“I do not want to consider this absolutely terrible scenario of an attack on Kiev. I hope this doesn't happen," he said.

On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed orders recognizing the independence of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. With a corresponding request, the heads of the republics Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik turned to him. In the West, Russia's actions were regarded as a violation of international law.

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss also said that the G7 countries had agreed on a single package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
