President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his new address, said that Ukraine proposes to return to the path of peace, but at the same time added that any citizen with combat experience would be useful and called on compatriots to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He called what is happening a new “iron curtain” and the task of Ukraine is that this “curtain” does not pass through the territory of the republic. He called for "returning to the path to peace", but did not develop this topic and did not propose specific actions on this matter.

Zelensky also turned to the Russians and asked them to "demand to end the war."

“If you hear us, if you understand us, please go to the squares, address the President of the country. We are Ukrainians, we are on our own land, your military started a war in our country," Zelensky urged

He also turned to Europe - "the leaders of the free world" - in his words, if she does not help Ukraine at this hour, "tomorrow the war will knock on her door."

Earlier, Rada deputies collectively called on Zelensky to "immediately" start negotiations with the Russian Federation, saying that "there will be no winners in this massacre."
