The implementation of existing programs and the preparation of new projects were discussed at a meeting of representatives of organizations - executors of union scientific and technical programs of social orientation in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

“We regularly hold such meetings with customers,” Viktor Sirenko, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State, said in an interview with journalists. - We consider not only the development of the funds allocated for the programs, the progress of their implementation, but also the prospects.

Last year, six allied scientific and technical programs of a social profile were carried out. They are aimed at improving the joint activities of organizations and enterprises of Belarussia. Thus, Viktor Sirenko noted, cooperation in the field of hydrometeorology increased the level of reliability of forecasts of adverse weather phenomena by up to 92 percent. Under the "Compound Feed-SG" program, formulas have been developed that allow increasing the growth of valuable fish species by 12 percent, and valuable breeds of fur-bearing animals - by 17 percent. As part of the Chernobyl program, an innovative fire truck has been developed that can operate in conditions of radiation contamination of the area. Eight unique methods were created during the implementation of the allied program "DNA Identification".

“Important results have been obtained for medicine and forensics,” Irma Mosse, executive director of the program, head of the laboratory of human genetics at the Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, told SOYUZ. - Criteria for evaluating a person's appearance by his DNA, his age, psycho-emotional status have been developed ...

In total, about 15,000 human DNA samples have been collected in Belarus within the framework of the program, three methods and four instructions for the use of new DNA technologies have been developed, 13 databases have been created, 288 scientific articles have been published, two candidate dissertations and four master's theses have been defended.

“Union programs of a social profile are being carried out at a high level,” said Dmitry Solovyov, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State. - In total, more than 500 million Russian rubles were allocated for their implementation last year, of which about 180 million went to the Belarusian side. - At the same time, cash execution amounted to 98.8 percent - this is a high level. And, for example, the funds allocated for the program in the field of hydrometeorology were used in full. These are very good indicators in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

In 2021, the implementation of three allied programs was completed. As Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergey Kilin noted, 19 concepts of the next projects have been developed for their development. Among them - the continuation of the successful programs "DNA-identification", "Mixed feed-SG", "Spinal systems". How to carry out a rather cumbersome approval procedure in order to start implementing new projects no later than 2023? This issue was also discussed at the meeting. A proposal was made by the Standing Committee of the Union State to combine the coordination of concepts and actual programs.
