The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported shelling by the Russian army in several Ukrainian cities.

“Today, February 24, at 5.00 (6.00 Moscow time), the armed forces of the Russian Federation began intensive shelling of our units in the east, and also launched missile and bomb attacks on airfields in Borispol, Ozerny, Kulbakino, Chuguev, Kramatorsk, Chernobaevka, as well as on military objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the department's Facebook post reads.

It is noted that Russia is also carrying out artillery shelling of Ukrainian settlements along the state borders.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that the country's armed forces did not carry out any missile, air or artillery strikes on the cities of Ukraine. It was reported that high-precision weapons disable military infrastructure, air defense facilities, military airfields and aviation of the Ukrainian army.
