Norway condemned the decision to launch a military operation in the Donbass

The Permanent Representative of Norway to the United Nations (UN) during a meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukraine said that Norway condemns the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to announce a special military operation in Donbass. This was reported on the website of the organization.

“Norway condemns in a serious way the decision of President Putin to send Russian troops to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, as well as the latest announcement of a special military operation. These decisions are not justified, were not provoked and are irresponsible,” Juul said.

She also called on Russia to reverse these decisions and immediately and completely withdraw its troops from Ukrainian territory.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the citizens of Russia and Ukraine early in the morning on February 24 about the situation in Ukraine.

“We have not been left with the opportunity to protect Russia, except for the one we use today ... I have decided to conduct a special military operation,” Putin said, adding that the purpose of this operation is to protect people.
