Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin called the bet on Washington and Brussels one of the three mistakes made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported in the politician's Telegram channel.

Volodin also believes that other mistakes were the refusal to sit down at the negotiating table with the heads of the LPR and threats to reconsider Ukraine's refusal of nuclear weapons.

“A state like Ukraine should pursue its own independent policy. Instead of bending under the USA and Europe. Having staked on Washington and Brussels, Zelensky forgot about the interests of his citizens,” Volodin wrote.

Also, according to the State Duma deputy, the President of Ukraine, “having inherited the problem of Donbass”, could not step over himself and sit down at the negotiating table with the heads of the DPR and LPR.
