The Kremlin reported that the leaders discussed "the development of the situation in connection with the conduct of a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine."

It is noted that Mirziyoyev expressed understanding of the actions taken by the Russian side.

The Presidents also discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda. "Mutual disposition was confirmed for the further development of the Russian-Uzbek strategic partnership with an emphasis on the implementation of specific projects in the trade, economic and humanitarian fields," the report says.
