In the Luhansk People's Republic, 17 Ukrainian servicemen and military personnel from the National Guard voluntarily laid down their arms and surrendered. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian military was taken to the location of one of the units of the LPR. Medical assistance was provided to all those in need. The military also organized hot meals, provided the opportunity to take a shower, change into clean clothes, and gave the opportunity to call close relatives.

All those who laid down their arms signed declarations refusing to participate in hostilities against the people's republics of Donbass. If during they do not reveal the facts of war crimes, then the military will be released home as free civilians.
