Moscow urged NATO to turn on its head

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Russia's proposals for security guarantees are based on the principles of reciprocity. They are also a call to NATO countries to "turn on their heads," said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.

“Our proposals are an appeal to common sense, a call to turn your head on and take the steps that are objectively required to take the current security situation from a dangerous line,” the deputy minister said in an interview with Kommersant.

He stressed that the Russian side does not threaten the countries of the alliance, but wants to warn the West with the help of its proposals. Russia has clearly stated its position and is now waiting for an honest reaction in response.

“In general, if you carefully read our proposals, much is built on the principle of reciprocity,” Grushko said.

As an example, the deputy minister cited a proposal to withdraw military exercises from the zone of contact along the border between Russia and NATO countries. According to him, mirroring is provided for in these actions.

Due to the expansion of the alliance, a critical situation has developed in the world. As Grushko stated, if NATO does not accept the proposals on security guarantees, Russia will take military-technical measures.
