Azerbaijan and Turkey want to organize Russian-Ukrainian talks

The leaders of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, declared their readiness to organize negotiations between Moscow and Kiev. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after telephone conversations with the heads of these states.

Apparently, Zelensky did not rush to answer this time. Previously, he had already agreed to sit down at the negotiating table to discuss the neutral status of Ukraine, but then changed his mind. In Kyiv, they explained this by the unacceptability of the “ultimatum demands” of the Russian side, which demands the disarmament of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in order to protect the inhabitants of Donbass.

According to Zelensky, the interlocutors expressed their readiness to send humanitarian aid to Kiev, Azerbaijan - oil products, and Turkey - medicines and medical equipment.

On the same day, the Turkish President confirmed Vladimir Putin's invitation to visit the country to discuss ways to de-escalate the Ukrainian crisis.
